القسم الثالث من اختبار المحادثة في اختبار الآيلتس هو عبارة عن مقابلة قصيرة تستغرق حوالي 4-5 دقائق. في هذا القسم، سيطرح عليك المشرف على الإختبار مجموعة من الأسئلة التي قد تكون مرتبطة بموضوع الفقرة السابقة (القسم الثاني). وهي تغطي مواضيع مختلفة مثل الأسرة والمنزل والعمل والدراسة والهوايات والسفر وما الى ذلك. والهدف من ذلك هو معرفة مدى قدرتك على التحدث عن الأشياء المألوفة والتعبير عن أفكارك بلغة سلسلة ومفهومة وباستخدام مجموعة من المفردات والكلمات التي ستُظهر من خلالها قدرتك على التحدث باللغة الانجليزية.

يختبر هذا القسم مهارات الاتصال باللغة الإنجليزية لديك، بما في ذلك الطلاقة والمفردات والقواعد والنطق. يجب الإجابة على الأسئلة بشكل واضح ومختصر مع إضافة بعض التفاصيل أو الأمثلة عند الضرورة. من المهم أن تتحدث بشكل طبيعي ، وأن تستخدم كلمات مختلفة ، وأن يكون لديك القدرة على التحدث بإقل قدر ممكن من الاخطاء. ولكي تتجاوز هذا القسم بنجاح، لابد لك من التدريب والممارسة والتعرف على طبيعة الأسئلة، وان تعمل اكبر قدر ممكن من التدرب على الاجابة على هذا النوع من الأسئلة. وفيما يلي سرد لأهم الموضوعات الشائعة التي قد تواجهك يوم الاختبار:
